Sedans, SUVs, and vans from any maker, clean or with fixable issues.
Toyota, Honda, Nissan, and Subaru hold up in Southern California, and we price them that way.
Pickups are the top of our want list — working trucks, high-mileage trucks, Japanese trucks included.
We buy the cars the big guys reject — but we are not a junk buyer. These fall outside this buying program, and we would rather tell you now than waste your time:
Enter the VIN to auto-fill the year, make, and model — or skip it for now and enter those details yourself. The VIN is optional at intake and mandatory before booking.
Answer the same 12 condition questions our buyer checks at pickup. The condition page defaults to no issues — open the checklist only if something applies.
See the offer path and share your number for follow-up. Any later changes wait for admin review.
The G6 replaced the Grand Am for 2005 on GM's Epsilon platform, sold as a sedan, a coupe, and a retractable-hardtop convertible. Engines ranged from a 2.4L four-cylinder through 3.5L, 3.9L, and 3.6L V6s, with four- and six-speed automatics and a rare manual on some coupes. GTP and later GXP trims topped the range. It was Pontiac's volume midsize car until the brand ended, with final cars built for fleets into 2010.
State the body style in San Diego — sedan, coupe, or hardtop convertible — and the engine, since a 3.6L GXP and a four-cylinder sedan are different cars to buyers. Working air conditioning and a leak-free top on convertibles should be confirmed, and steering service history is worth keeping.
Four-cylinder G6s use electric power steering that can lose assist suddenly or develop torque sensor faults, an issue covered by recalls and extended coverage. Steering column replacement is the usual fix, and its cost on an aging Pontiac is why many owners choose to sell.
G6 steering shafts are well known for clunking and rattling over bumps and in parking maneuvers as the shaft wears and loses lubrication. The noise is harmless at first, but owners quoted for shaft replacement often decide the car is not worth another repair bill.
The optional four-panel panoramic sunroof and the retractable hardtop both rely on complex tracks, seals, and mechanisms that leak, bind, and rattle with age. Repairs need trim and roof specialists, so owners facing a leaking or stuck roof commonly sell the car instead.
G6s are frequently reported for warped front rotors, pedal pulsation, and short brake service life. Repeated brake work is an annoyance owners tolerate once or twice, but when rotors warp again alongside other age-related needs, many decide to sell rather than keep paying.
Every one of these is a condition answer on the form — report it and it is priced in from the start, never discovered at pickup.
High mileage alone does not disqualify a G6. If it starts, drives, and has a working key, report the mileage honestly in the form and we will price the whole car, not just the odometer.
Yes to both — name the lender or pick the title situation that matches yours in the form. Complicated paperwork is part of what we handle, and we explain the correct next step before scheduling.
