Common NX problems we still buy
Turbo engine issues on NX 200t / 300
The 2.0L turbo four can develop turbocharger wastegate rattle and oil leaks at the timing cover and turbo feed lines with mileage. It also requires consistent oil service to keep the turbo healthy.
Water pump leaks
Water pump weeping and coolant leaks are reported on first-generation cars as they age, visible as dried coolant residue around the pump. Unnoticed coolant loss risks overheating on the hybrid's related engines as well.
Door lock actuators and hatch struts

The NX generations we buy
The first-generation NX launched for 2015 as the NX 200t — later renamed NX 300 — with a 2.0L turbo four, plus the NX 300h hybrid, sharing underpinnings with the RAV4. The second generation arrived for 2022 with NX 250, NX 350 turbo, NX 350h hybrid, and the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid, along with a much larger touchscreen. Both generations were offered with front- or all-wheel drive.
Hybrid NX 300h and 350h versions are especially common in Southern California thanks to their fuel economy, so identify the powertrain and drive wheels precisely. On the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid, keep the charging cable with the vehicle.
