The offer we make is the offer you get for 7 days, when the car matches its description. If hidden or unreported damage is found at pickup, any adjustment is shown with photo evidence before you decide.

What we buy — your ATS included

  • Japanese vehicles of any age — Toyota, Honda, Nissan, and Subaru hold up in Southern California, and we price them that way.
  • Fixable issues welcome — Battery, glass, panels, and exterior damage from the 12-point checklist — each priced in plainly.
  • Most 2010-and-newer cars — Sedans, SUVs, and vans from any maker, clean or with fixable issues.
  • Trucks of any age — Pickups are the top of our want list — working trucks, high-mileage trucks, Japanese trucks included.

Where the line is

We buy the cars the big guys reject — but we are not a junk buyer. These fall outside this buying program, and we would rather tell you now than waste your time:

  • No working key
  • Blown engine
  • Shot transmission
  • Major structural damage
  • Heavily stripped
  • Trash-filled or severely neglected

Common ATS problems we still buy

CUE touchscreen delamination

The ATS's CUE screen cracks, bubbles, and develops phantom touches as its gel layer fails, eventually making climate and audio adjustment a guessing game. Screen replacement is fiddly dashboard work, and owners facing it with other repairs pending often decide to sell the car instead.

2.0L turbo piston damage on early cars

Early 2.0L turbo engines are documented for piston cracking linked to pre-ignition, causing misfires, low compression, and in bad cases a replacement engine. That scale of bill on an aging ATS means affected cars are almost always sold rather than rebuilt.

Eight-speed automatic shudder

ATS models with the eight-speed automatic can develop torque converter shudder and harsh shifts, addressed first with fluid service and sometimes converter replacement. When the shudder returns after service, owners lose confidence and commonly sell the sedan rather than fund transmission work.

Rear differential axle seal leaks

ATS rear differentials are known for axle seal leaks that can run the unit low on fluid if unnoticed, leading to noise and accelerated wear. Seal work plus any resulting axle damage is specialist money, and owners of higher-mile cars often sell instead of repairing.

Every one of these is a condition answer on the form — report it and it is priced in from the start, never discovered at pickup.

How selling your ATS works here

01

Describe your car

Enter the VIN to auto-fill the year, make, and model — or skip it for now and enter those details yourself. The VIN is optional at intake and mandatory before booking.

02

Complete the condition page

Answer the same 12 condition questions our buyer checks at pickup. The condition page defaults to no issues — open the checklist only if something applies.

03

Review the next step

See the offer path and share your number for follow-up. Any later changes wait for admin review.

The ATS generations we buy

The ATS launched for 2013 as Cadillac's compact rear-drive sport sedan on the Alpha platform, with a coupe joining for 2015. Engines were a 2.5L four, a 2.0L turbo four, and a 3.6L V6, with a six-speed manual available on the turbo; the twin-turbo ATS-V topped the range from 2016. All-wheel drive was optional on most versions. The CT4 replaced it after 2019, carrying its basic formula forward.

State sedan or coupe, engine, and drive in San Diego, and identify an ATS-V plainly — it has its own buyer pool. Excellent condition is the standard for the badge; keep CUE screen, differential, and transmission service records, since those are the known ATS conversations.

ATS seller questions

What happens on pickup day?

Our buyer checks the VIN, title, mileage, and the same condition items you submitted for your ATS. If everything matches, you sign the transfer paperwork, receive payment, and hand over the keys — and the tow is free in San Diego County.

How much is my ATS worth?

It comes down to the individual car: year, mileage, trim, and the 12 condition answers. We review every application by hand and send one clear offer, guaranteed for 7 days when the car matches its description — no automated lowball and no haggling at the curb.

Can I sell a ATS with a lien or a lost title?

Yes to both — name the lender or pick the title situation that matches yours in the form. Complicated paperwork is part of what we handle, and we explain the correct next step before scheduling.

My ATS has cue touchscreen delamination. Will you still buy it?

In most cases, yes — that is a known ATS issue and it is priced into the offer from the condition answers you submit, not discovered at pickup. Describe it honestly and the offer already reflects it.
